I have a question
So I often write about random things, lately it has been politics. I even have a partial write up about the shooting in Minnesota that I never finished due to the fact shit keeps happening (and what I wrote is almost not relevant now) I may post it eventually just because it’s interesting to me what people perceive vs the truth. I was initially waiting for some of the dust to settle because I don’t really want jump in with both feet when facts, AI videos, real videos and false accounts are rampant.
What I am wondering is if I truly treated this as a personal blog, like the good ole Netscape days and start writing about my life experiences, and history, random writings of non political stuff, some fiction- would it spoil the whole Substack? One thing I liked about Facebook is you could ‘switch’ accounts and be a whole different personality (LOL) on a page separated from your family and friends, some of whom created the multiple personality to begin with. Plus saying you secretly hate your aunts pie in front of your aunt makes it a lot less secret. Probably for the greater good but I suspect you catch my meaning.
I recently had someone in my Kung Fu class talking about another Kung Foo’er in our class and how his story would be amazing on a reality TV show because he has fought so many odds, bi polar, ADHD, anger management and more and it would be great. I mentioned that I had actually interviewed for a reality TV show in the past and he said no one wants to see me because I haven’t done anything interesting and haven’t fought any odds. LOL. This dude only knows me from Kung Fu and knows nothing really of my history except random tidbits while we visit in between sets (and catch our breath) So yeah, probably a me problem because I’ve always felt a little devalued in life and I probably should bring this up with my therapist, really.
I considered starting a whole new Substack, and I’m still pondering doing that (my executive dysfunction says that’s a horrible idea because Logging Out and then Back In is insurmountable odds!) But then it would be separate from my ‘serious’ Substack where I talk about serious issues that pertain to basically everyone and another for personal shit like abuse, trucking, dogs, random brain lint and more.
Actually it sounds like that should be what I do. Make another stack. What are your thoughts? Do mixed up Stacks appeal to you or focused ones?
